Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 1, Verse 23

Chapter 1: Observing the Armies on the Battlefield of Kurukshetra
Verse: 23
yotsyamanan avekshe 'ham
ya ete 'tra samagatah
dhartarashtrasya durbuddher
yuddhe priya-cikirshavah

Let me see those who have come here to fight, wishing to please the evil-minded son of Dhritarashtra.

Arjuna refers to Duryodhana as evil-minded because he had in the past performed many evil deeds out of greed and envy. The word 'please' used by him indicates that he considers the others assembled to fight to be like-minded with Duryodhana and therefore also evil. Finally he wanted to look at the fighting arrangements and the evaluate the enemy strength.

Please read the Sanskrit Verse and the Prabhupada's Purport.
