Nepal tragedy – devotees leave their bodies

Dear Vaishnavas around the world,

Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Kindly pray for the departed soul of devotees who have left their bodies in tragic air plane crash accident in Nepal on the way to their pilgrimage trip.  Most of them were devotees connected with the congregation in Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir, ISKCON Chowpatty, Mumbai, India.

Following are the devotees:

– HG Kunjabihari prabhu, his wife HG Madhupriya mataji & his son HG Shivam Prabhu from Bombay Central

– HG Gokulrani mataji & her small daughter HG Taruni from Khar (She also acted in many ads, films & dramas – she was Krsna in the famous drama “Wonderful Krsna”)

– HG Murlimohan Prabhu & his brother Gagan

– HG Gaura Krishna prabhu, bramachari from Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir, ISKCON Chowpatty.

This is really devastating news. Ultimately everything is in Lord Krsnas control and many times we fail to understand His divine plan.

At the tomb of the namacharya Srila Haridas Thakur, Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur wrote the following poem which is often cited in thinking about the life and passing of a devotee:

He reasons ill who says that Vaishnavas die,
When thou art living still in sound!
The Vaishnavas die to live, and living try
To spread the holy name around.

Please pray for them for our purification.

Thank you very much.

Your servant

Rasamrita Das

It is important to remind ourselves that at the end of the day all we really have is each other.
